About Jeannine “Nin” Trippany

Jeannine has been instructing Spinning classes in Vermont at Duke’s Fitness Center since 2002. Jeannine believes Duke’s Fitness Center to be a special gym catering to the average person, unlike other places full of testosterone-jacked ‘lunk heads’. In her mind, classes at Duke’s must always be both fun and relaxing as well as calorie burning.

‘Nin,’ as she’s affectionately called, was born in the Fall of ’62. Her hobbies include daily walks, biking, snowshoeing, skating, reading, and weight training. She’s been incredibly interested in fitness since high school.

When asked how long she’s been teaching, her reply is short and to-the-point: “Only one year less than Gene,” referring to her fellow Spinning instructor, Gene Depot.

Jeannine is grateful for her ability to exercise. She pursues walking and weight-training outside the gym, as it helps with her endurance, muscle strength, and toning.

What keeps her coming back to Duke’s? “it’s a ‘make-you-feel-at-home’ kinda place.”
